It means leet or skill. It's also a type of internet lingo per-say.

True, thats where it originates from. Just like Pwnd. Its like in a chess game, you got your ass kicked by a Pawn. For me being killed by a pawn would be pretty pathetic. But regardless, thats where it comes from. :P

I'm pretty sure pwned came from someone mistyping owned. Since the P and O keys are right near each other, it can be a common mistake.

this is true.

same thing for "teh"

alot of the "leetspeak" is derived from words that when typed too quickly are spelled incorrectly...i.e. pwned and teh.

hackers type fast
